HOUSTON, 2015-8-27 — /Travel PR News/ — Boy-band music stars One Direction launched a new music video last week — a large part of which was filmed at Ellington Airport (EFD).
Parts of the video — for the release of a new song titled “Drag Me Down” — were shot at the NASA hangar and ramp area at EFD used to house the NASA T-38 aircraft jets that are used by astronauts to train for spaceflight, as well as at the Sonny Carter Facility at EFD, and the Johnson Space Center.
The popular group — now a foursome of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne — were on location Aug. 6 and can be seen in the video in NASA space suits and aboard the NASA WB-57 high altitude research aircraft, a specialized aircraft that is used for high atmosphere research work. The group also filmed in a full scale replica of the Orion spacecraft, NASA’s vehicle in development for crewed missions to deep space.
The video debuted last week and can be seen below.
