Oman Air announces the first winner of its new incentive scheme for travel agents in Oman

MUSCAT, Oman, 2017-Jun-20 — /Travel PR News/ — Oman Air has announced the first winner of its new incentive scheme for travel agents in Oman. Mr. Sumith K.P. of Travel City travel agency was rewarded with a Mini Cooper in recognition of his excellent sales in the first quarter of 2017. The car was presented to Mr Sumith K.P. by Oman Air CEO Paul Gregorowitsch.

The new incentive scheme for Oman travel agents was set up to recognise individuals who have shown loyalty to Oman Air and successfully sold the airline’s award-winning product. The scheme will reward the best-selling travel agent for each quarter with the grand prize of a Mini Cooper, which comes in addition to the support that Oman Air already offers agencies for training and joint marketing. The new incentive scheme has been created to complement the existing loyalty and quality award scheme for travel agencies.

Jamal Al Azki, Country Manager for Oman said: “I am very happy to announce the name of the winner for the first quarter, Mr. Sumith K.P., who has won himself a Mini Cooper. It is heartening to note the warm response to our incentive scheme from the travel agent community. Travel agents play a crucial role in supporting Oman Air in its efforts to bring more tourists and business to the country. Oman Air stood firm through the economic turmoil that prevailed throughout the world and along with us stood the travel agents, offering us much-needed support. The new incentive scheme is our way of showing our appreciation of travel agents, and we hope it will help sustain their support.”

The winner, Mr. Sumith K.P., said: “Initiatives like this are very motivating for us and we thank Oman Air for pioneering a scheme like this. This is a highly competitive segment but with the right attitude and service, travel agents try and retain their loyal customer base. Oman Air has over 181 flights per day to various key destinations and this is one of the major factors that helps us to achieve our targets. Ticket sales to Oman Air’s destinations in the Indian Sub-Continent have specifically helped me in this regard.”

The new incentive scheme should encourage travel agents to achieve higher sales for Oman Air. As the national airline for the Sultanate, Oman Air is committed to the Omani Government’s growth strategy and is constantly seeking to offer more opportunities to sell and fly Oman Air.
