CHICAGO, 2012-10-26 — /travelprnews.com/ — The Chicago Department of Aviation ( CDA) is proud to announce that O’Hare International Airport recently completed its annual certification inspection by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for airfield compliance with no FAR Part 139 discrepancies.
This annual inspection judges an airport’s compliance with Federal Aviation Regulation FAR Part 139, which addresses airfield operations including pavement, signage, lighting, markings, inspection reports, fueling operations and emergency response and preparedness.
“O’Hare has an impressive record with its annual FAA inspections of airfield operations,” said CDACommissioner Rosemarie S. Andolino. “I want to thank the entire O’Hare team for working so diligently to ensure the highest level of safety for airport passengers and employees.”
The safety and security of Chicago’s airports are the Chicago Department of Aviation’s (CDA) highest priority. O’Hare and Midway International Airports continually meet FAA safety guidelines and standards routinely monitored during FAA compliance inspections.
