• Cassandra May, from Arlington Heights Ill., received a $3,000 scholarship; and
• Madison Shaw, from Wilsonville Ore., was honored with a $1,500 scholarship.

Due to the number of impressive applications that were received, the committee also selected two applicants, Stephanie Arellano, from Laveen, Ariz., and Joshua Smith, from Arkansas Pass, Texas, who will each receive one-time bursary awards of $750 for the 2015 school year.

“Every year I am impressed by the dedication shown by the children of our Associates,” said Howard F. Ruby, chairman, founder and CEO, Oakwood Worldwide. “As an entrepreneur, I can appreciate the determination and ingenuity of these students – they are so very deserving of this award. I want to extend my thanks to every applicant and congratulate this year’s recipients.”
