American, Arab and Thai food options on the waterfront
Oakland, Calif., 2018-Jul-18 — /Travel PR News/ — New restaurants are settling into Jack London Square this summer bringing international flavor to Oakland’s waterfront. Two have already opened with a third to follow by September. The influx of dining spots is generating increased interest in the Square at its busiest time of the year.
“The restaurant scene at the Oakland waterfront continues to thrive and change,” said Port of Oakland Director of Commercial Real Estate Pam Kershaw. “We are pleased to see so many new venues join us in Jack London Square.”
Here’s a rundown of the new restaurants:
Belcampo’s menu, led by Head Chef Brett Halfpap and Head Butcher Miguel Nateras, includes meat and poultry dishes sourced from the company’s farm near Mt. Shasta. Dyafa, offering a menu inspired by chef Reem Assil’s Palestinian-Syrian heritage, serves lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Farmhouse Kitchen, under the direction of Head Chef Kasem Saengsawang, will serve Thai cuisine including street food and traditional dishes.
The new restaurants expand the dining options in Jack London Square that include Forge, Grocery Café, Kincaid’s, Lungomare, Plank, and Scott’s Seafood. All restaurants with outdoor seating are pet friendly.
Transportation options to the Square include the Alameda/SF Bay Ferry, Amtrak, biking, walking and driving. The free “B” Broadway shuttle runs Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. For directions to Jack London Square, please go here.
