New Interline Partnership Lets Emirates Customers Fly Onward to Nassau Freeport and San Salvador

(IN SHORT) Emirates and Bahamasair have signed an MoU to establish an interline connection: Emirates passengers arriving in Miami or Orlando can book through to Nassau, Freeport or San Salvador on Bahamasair under a single ticket, enjoying increased baggage allowances. The partnership will extend into cargo coordination and frequent-flyer programme links. Emirates flies daily to Miami and five times weekly to Orlando as part of its 12 US routes, while both carriers will collaborate with The Bahamas’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote tourism and trade.

(PRESS RELEASE) DUBAI, UAE, 2025-Jun-12 — /Travel PR News/ — Emirates and Bahamasair have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to create an interline partnership that eases travel to The Bahamas. Under this agreement, passengers flying Emirates into Miami or Orlando can seamlessly continue their journey on Bahamasair flights to Nassau, Freeport or San Salvador—booking both legs on a single ticket and benefitting from an enhanced baggage allowance on the regional carrier.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, commented, “This partnership opens up fresh routes for our customers bound for the Caribbean, combining competitive fares with the simplicity of one-ticket booking and generous baggage policies. It also dovetails with our collaboration with The Bahamas’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs to showcase this vibrant destination across our global network.”

Both airlines plan to explore deeper cargo interline arrangements and look at ways to link their loyalty programmes. Tracy Cooper, Managing Director of Bahamasair, added, “Aligning with Emirates raises our international profile, grants us access to invaluable industry expertise, and lays the foundation for long-term growth in new markets.”

Emirates currently serves Miami daily with a Boeing 777 and operates five flights weekly to Orlando, joining its 12 US gateways within a network spanning more than 140 destinations. During the Arabian Travel Market, Emirates also signed an MoU with The Bahamas’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs to jointly promote tourism and bolster trade ties with the Caribbean nation.
