2012-11-20 — /travelprnews.com/ — Finavia has concluded the negotiations concerning the business operations of Helsinki Airport. The goal of the organisation renewal, which forms the background for the negotiations, is to have an operating model which promotes customer service development and ensures a cost effective way of working.
The outcome of the negotiations is that Finavia will let go 15 people from Helsinki Airport business operations due to production reasons and reasons related to operational reorganisation. In addition, there will be major changes to the employment status of 10 people.
”The fact that we have to let people go is very unfortunate, but in the transition of the air traffic sector, Helsinki Airport also has to continuously improve work efficiency so that we can keep our competitive position in our business operations. Therefore, it is important to renew operating methods,” says Ville Haapasaari, Helsinki Airport Director.
