(PRESS RELEASE) Barcelona, Spain, 2025-Feb-18 — /Travel PR News/ — On the morning of February 15th, MSC Fantasia made history as it became the first ship to dock at the newly inaugurated cruise terminal in Barcelona. This milestone marks a major step forward for MSC Group’s Cruise Division, as the terminal will now serve both MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys vessels, enhancing the port’s capabilities and service offerings.

To celebrate the occasion, Sandra Yunta, Director of the MSC Barcelona Cruise Terminal, warmly welcomed the first disembarking passengers. She was joined by Gianluca Suprani, Senior Vice President of Global Port Development and Shore Activities, for a special cava toast to commemorate the event.

Designed by the renowned Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura (RBTA), the state-of-the-art terminal represents a significant infrastructure investment for MSC Group. The terminal blends sophisticated architectural design with an enhanced guest experience, setting the tone for seamless travel from the moment passengers step ashore.
