Mesa Selected for FlightSafety’s Next Flagship Aviation Training Facility, Bringing Jobs and Global Reach

(NEWS) COLUMBUS, OH, 2025-Aug-20 — /Travel PR News/ — FlightSafety International has announced a major expansion in Arizona with plans to build a 100,000-square-foot Learning Center in Mesa, reinforcing both the company’s global growth strategy and the state’s increasing prominence in aviation.

Scheduled to break ground in October 2025 and open in early 2028, the new facility will feature full-flight simulators and advanced training devices for pilots, maintenance technicians, and cabin crews, with capacity to scale as demand grows. The project is expected to generate around 100 jobs initially and attract thousands of aviation professionals annually, delivering a significant economic boost to the region through business travel and tourism.

FlightSafety President Barbara Telek said the expansion underscores the company’s long-term commitment to advancing safety and preparedness in aviation, while local leaders including Mesa Mayor Mark Freeman and Mesa Gateway Airport Authority Chair Regina Antone highlighted the facility’s role in strengthening Mesa’s position as a hub for global aviation training and innovation.
