“25 Best Big Companies to Work For” List

Bethesda, Md., 2016-Mar-10 — /Travel PR News/ — For the ninth consecutive year, Marriott International has been recognised as one of the “25 Best Big Companies to Work For” through The Sunday Times’ prestigious “Best Companies to Work For” listing, ranking as the top hospitality company.  This recognition is a mark of distinction for companies across the UK and places Marriott International 9th on the list.

The Sunday Times recognised Marriott International for its ethos of taking care of its associates, and also continued efforts to recognise and reward their achievements, with associates feeling they make a valuable contribution to the company’s success. Marriott was also highlighted for offering employees valuable experiences for personal growth and future opportunities.

Amy McPherson, president and managing director, Marriott International Europe commented, “This is another extraordinary achievement for Marriott and I am so proud that we have been placed 9th in this year’s Sunday Times ‘Best Companies to Work For’ awards. To be recognised for the ninth consecutive year is a true testament to our timeless commitment of Putting People First. We are always seeking new opportunities to create great work place experiences for our associates so they can truly be their best, and we hope to maintain our presence in these prestigious awards.”

Marriott’s framework of investing in associate experiences and personal development is driving its recently launched global TakeCare program. In support of Marriott’s global commitment to promote and strengthen Marriott’s people-first culture, the TakeCare program renews the company’s focus on associate wellbeing and happiness, with a full calendar of activities, including fun engagement campaigns for associates around the world.

The accolade joins a series of high profile honours to have recently been awarded to Marriott International, including being named one of the World’s Most Admired Companies by FORTUNE magazine for the 16th consecutive year.
