2012-07-23 — /travelprnews.com/ — Manx2.com has welcomed announcement that Irish airline Air Lingus will start a new service from Belfast City Airport to London Heathrow when it switches its operations from Belfast International Airport in the autumn. It means Isle of Man residents will have an even more frequent and convenient link to Heathrow Airport via Belfast.
Manx2.com Managing Director, David Buck, said: ‘We operate up to five flights per day to Belfast City, the first leaving the Island at 0720 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, meaning business and leisure travellers can take advantage of BA’s seven flights a day from Belfast City to London Heathrow, and soon a further three per day with Aer Lingus. It means flying to Belfast is a fast, easy way to get to Heathrow following the loss of the direct flight nearly 10 years ago. Going via Belfast also means travellers can circumnavigate the world’s biggest car park, the M25!’
There’s further good news as by the end of March 2013 Aer Lingus will also add Malaga and Faro to the list of destinations to which it will fly from Belfast City Airport, giving Isle of Man residents an even greater choice of connections.
Flights to Belfast City Airport with Manx2.com start at £29.95 one way, including all taxes and charges. To book go to www.manx2.com
