The only independent, global rating authority for luxury hotels, restaurants and spas, the Forbes Travel Guide was originally published as the Mobil Travel Guidein 1958 and was the first to create a five-star classification system in the United States. Today, its inspectors travel the world incognito, evaluating properties based on up to 900 rigorous, objective standards.
