The exhibition, on view through February 10, 2019, is the first of its kind to examine the role of empresses in shaping China’s last dynasty, the Qing dynasty. Featuring nearly 200 spectacular objects from Beijing’s Palace Museum, the exhibit shares the untold stories of imperial womens’ influence on court politics, art and religion.
