Subang, 2014-7-15 — /Travel PR News/ — Malaysia Airlines is offering additional capacity of 11,896 seats through extra flights between 24 July to 4 August 2014 to cope with the increasing demand during the forthcoming Hari Raya Puasa.
The national carrier will be increasing additional seat capacity between Kuala Lumpur to Kota Bharu, Penang, Alor Setar, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, and Miri.
“We have increased capacity on a number of demand sectors to cater for travellers who wish to enjoy the festive season with their loved ones or even go for a short holiday during this period,” said Malaysia Airlines’ Regional Senior Vice President Malaysia, Dato’ Muzammil Mohamad.
“Tickets for this festive season are in high demand. We urge those who wish to travel during this festive season to book as our seats are selling fast,” he added.
Meanwhile, Malaysia Airlines wishes to remind passengers to check-in early during the festive season to avoid congestion at its check-in kiosks at the KL International Airport.
Passengers will only need their booking reference or the 13-digit e-ticket number to perform the Self Check-in. They are also advised to ensure all documents required for travel is up-to-date. For travel to Sabah and Sarawak, a valid MyKad or MyKid is essential.
Alternatively passengers may check-in 48-hours prior to their flight via MHweb check-in onwww.malaysiaairlines.com or MHmobile check in on flymas.mobi.
Business Class passengers who wish to self check-in may also do so through any of the options available.
Malaysia Airlines passengers are allowed to check-in a maximum of two pieces of baggage on any class of travel, with two pieces of baggage weighing 40kg in total for Business Class and two pieces of baggage weighing 30kg in total for Economy Class.
As for cabin baggage allowance, Business Class passengers are allowed to carry two pieces each, whereas Economy Class passengers are allowed to carry one piece. Each cabin baggage must not weigh more than 7kg.
