Luxury five star hotel, The Royal Horseguards, has been commended in the Condé Nast Traveler’s Top 35 Hotels in the British Isles

2012-11-08 — /travelprnews.com/ — Adding to its string of awards including the AA London Hotel of the Year 2010-11 and Trip Advisor’s Travellers’ Choice 2012, The Royal Horseguards has earned a rating of 87.8 from Condé Nast Traveler’s readers, who ranked the hotel as one of the top hotels in the UK.

Niels Sherry, The Royal Horseguards hotel’s General Manager commented on the award:
“It’s a fantastic achievement to be acknowledged by such a respected publication, and even more so because the readers themselves are responsible for putting us there. After a spectacular summer of cultural events including the Queen’s Jubilee and the Olympics, all eyes have been on the UK, so to come out on top is a great honour.”

Gracing the banks of the River Thames the hotel is conveniently located in close proximity to Covent Garden, Regent Street, Trafalgar Square and The Strand. Steeped in history The Royal Horseguard’s One Whitehall Place was originally built as the National Liberal Building and is celebrating 125 year anniversary in 2012.

The hotel is also famous for its afternoon teas and has recently been acknowledged as a member of the Tea Guild – a prestigious and strictly invitation only collective that confirms the highest standards of afternoon tea service. Whilst the award-winning One Twenty One Two restaurant and Equus Bar offers classic five-star cuisine in refined, elegant surroundings.

This year’s Readers’ Choice Awards, which covered cities, islands, hotels, resorts, cruises, and airlines, is Condé Nast Traveler’s 25th annual survey.
