Supervisory Board approves investment in introductory project / Development will take about two years
2012-12-06 — /travelprnews.com/ — Lufthansa is expanding its product portfolio and will equip the entire Lufthansa long-haul fleet with a Premium Economy. The Supervisory Board has approved the investment capital for the introductory project to achieve this. At the beginning of next year, a project group will be formed to manage the introduction and define the precise features of the product as well as a detailed timetable.
Premium Economy will be installed on the entire intercontinental fleet. This substantially up-graded Economy product will fill the gap between the superior Business Class segment, which features a seat that can be converted into a fully flat bed, on one side and the classic Economy Class on the other. This will appeal to both leisure travellers seeking additional comfort and business travellers.
