Los Angeles, California, 2013-04-01 — /travelprnews.com/ — Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) First Source Hiring Program is coordinating the first job fair for airport tenants planning to hire hundreds of employees for the new restaurant and retail complex opening this summer in the New Tom Bradley International Terminal at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
HMS Host, a major concession, will interview applicants for 125 fast-food attendant/cashier positions at the LAX Targeted Recruitment Job Fair to be held on Saturday, April 6, 2013.
Candidates must apply for the positions online at www.lawa.org/bjrc as soon as possible to be considered for an interview at this invitation-only job fair.
Resumes will be pre-screened, and selected applicants will receive an e-mail invitation with interview appointment information by Friday, April 5, 2013.
Job descriptions are posted on the website at: www.lawa.org/bjrc for these and other LAX job openings . Candidates must select the “Search Job Opening” option to apply for a specific position. Applicants are asked to read the entire job posting and pay special attention to any specific requirements listed, such as education, shift available, and other applicant instructions.
“LAWA’s First Source Hiring Program gives applicants an opportunity to step to the head of the line in consideration for these open airport positions,” said Joyce Sloss, director of LAWA’s Business and Job Resources Center, which manages the First Source Hiring Program. “Qualified candidates applying on our website will have the opportunity to be interviewed for these positions before the general public. All candidates must be at least 18 years old, and be able to pass a 10-year security
background screening necessary to work on airport property. On the day of the job fair, selected candidates must bring a resume and two forms of valid photo identification to complete LAX badging applications.
HMS Host plans to hire 290 employees for its new facilities opening in the New Tom Bradley International Terminal and Terminal 4 as part of the LAX Airport Modernization Program. Interviews for other open positions on the Business and Job Resources Center website will be scheduled at a later date.
