LOS ANGELES AIRPORT POLICE OFFICERS HONORED AT LOS ANGELES DODGERS FIRST RESPONDERS APPRECIATION DAY

Los Angeles, California, 2012-08-28 — /travelprnews.com/ — The Los Angeles Dodgers Community Partnerships will honor Los Angeles Airport Police along with other local law enforcement and fire department 2011 Medals and Commendation recipients, at the Los Angeles Dodgers First Responders Appreciation Day.

Los Angeles Airport Police Division honorees participating in the event during the Dodgers and Miami Marlins pre-game ceremonies on Sunday August 26, 2012 at 1:10 p.m. include; Sergeant Ronald Hall, a 24-year veteran and recipient of a Commendation for outstanding performance in the course of his work assignment in the LAX Crime Task Force Unit, Sergeant Ralph Valencia, a 33-year veteran and recipient of a Commendation for Outstanding Performance in the course of his work in the Procedural Manuals Unit, Retired Sergeant Ernest Cruz, for his with 33-years of service, Officer Burt Davis, a 26-year veteran and Officer Shawn Smith, an 11-year veteran both recipients of the Police Star, and Officer Rodolfo Bojorquez, an 8-year veteran honored for receiving the Life Saving Medal.

Los Angeles Airport Police Chief Michael Hyams said, “I am really proud of my officers and I am grateful they are being recognized and honored for their hard work, dedication and service to the Airport community”.

The Los Angeles Airport Police Division is the fourth largest law enforcement agency in Los Angeles County with more than 1,100 law enforcement, security and staff personnel.
