London City Airport welcomes new café-bar concept Truman’s Brick Lane Brews

LONDON, 2017-Jan-27 — /Travel PR News/ — Truman’s East London’s iconic brewery has launched Brick Lane Brews, a new café-bar concept, at London City Airport.  This new venture sees the brewery expand its offer to serve a quintessentially East End London menu from morning to night.  Serving the freshest salt beef, the tastiest beigels, the finest coffee and of course the best beer, the first outlet is now open at London City Airport, as a key food and beverage partner within the airport’s departures area, as part of a £19 million transformation.

The launch of Brick Lane Brews is another step in Truman’s ambitious growth plans – which started in 2013 with the revival of the great brewing brand – and sees them well on the road to re-establishing themselves as not only the beer of choice for cask beer fans, but also an integral part of London life, particularly the East End.

Brick Lane Brews is located airside at the capital’s most convenient airport in London’s Royal Docks, where thousands of passengers will be able to enjoy a true East End experience and features a classic wrap-around horseshoe bar, tile décor and striking copper pipework.

James Morgan, re-founder of Truman’s brewery said ‘We are delighted to be bringing Truman’s to London City Airport.  The team at London City have been excellent and we look forward to offering customers Truman’s beer, Brick Lane biegels and Union Roasted coffee all day long.

Brick Lane Brews is our homage to the East End’s food and drink scene, our launch at London City Airport is just the beginning. We are actively looking for more sites and are passionate about sharing the Brick Lane Brews experience with, not only London but the rest of the world …. and what better place to start that journey than at London City Airport”.

As well as serving Truman’s keg beers, full of flavour, aroma and character, and sure to quench even the thirstiest of travellers, customers will also be able to enjoy food and drink from carefully chosen partners.

Simon Potts, Director of Non-Aero Revenue at London City Airport, said: “Brick Lane Brews offers a great selection that we know will appeal to our passengers, whether they’re looking for a caffeine kick before meetings abroad, or a classic Truman’s beer on their way home, it will be an authentic East London experience.

“With Truman’s heritage in East London, it is fitting that the famous brewery has picked one of its neighbours, London City Airport, as the venue for its newest venture.”
