Lincoln Park Zoo Presents the 26 th Annual Spooky Zoo Spectacular

Chicago – 2012-10-16 — /travelprnews.com/ — Calling all mini monsters and grownup goblins! Things are starting to get a little spooky around Lincoln Park Zoo.

Join the zoo’s Auxiliary Board on Saturday, October 20, for Spooky Zoo Spectacular, a FREE and fabulous fall event that serves up enough wholesome family fun to satisfy the spookiest cravings.

Compare costumes with spotted leopards and striped tigers, burn off some of those Halloween calories with an invigorating “Monstercise” session led by NBC’s The Biggest Loser Season 5 at-home winner Bernie Salazar, or get crafty with a seasonally sensational Halloween project.

“Spooky Zoo Spectacular is the perfect way for the whole family to celebrate the season in a safe, fun, and wild environment,” said Auxiliary Board President Annessa Staab. “Little ones will love the Toddler Zone, bigger kids will go crazy for DJ dance troop Charizma, and everyone is guaranteed to have a memorable day among the fabulous animals of Lincoln Park Zoo.”

Don’t miss the popular haunted house located at the Kovler Sea Lion Pool. It is appropriate for all ages and is just on the fun side of creepy with hay bales, lights, and scary surprises around every turn. Also returning will be the Junior League of Chicago to entertain with their kooky and spooky Mad Hatter performances.

New this year is Spooky Glee, where local high school show choirs will showcase their talents.

As always, Lincoln Park Zoo and Spooky Zoo Spectacular are FREE to the public. Activities will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m

Spooky Zoo Spectacular is sponsored by: Chicago Dental Society, Crest-Oral B. The Auxiliary Board also thanks US Bank.
