Leonardo Di Clemente appointed new Executive Chef at Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay

20-year Four Seasons culinary veteran and Italian maestro embarks on a new journey in the Middle East

Bahrain Bay, Bahrain, 2021-Jun-08 — /Travel PR News/ — Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay announces the appointment of Leonardo Di Clemente as the new Executive Chef. Following his tenure of two decades with Four Seasons properties across the globe, seasoned Chef Di Clemente will embark on his first appointment in the Middle Eastern region, bringing with him a wealth of diverse experience from his appointments across the globe including but not limited to Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest, Hungary; Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Chinzan-so, Japan (formerly a Four Seasons hotel); Four Seasons Hotel London at Canary Wharf, United Kingdom (formerly a Four Seasons hotel); Hotel Suvretta House St Moritz, Switzerland; I Luoghi di Pitti Relais Altamura, Italy; and most recently, Four Seasons Hotel Prague, Czech Republic.

Born in Bisceglie on the southeast coast of Italy, Di Clemente is a graduate of Addetto Al Servizi Alberghieri Di Cucina Bari, and has since worked his way up through the ranks to become one of the most highly respected chefs of his generation. Di Clemente has also spent his time teaching at Boscolo Etoile Academy, one of the most prestigious catering institutes in Italy.

Overseeing three of the Hotel’s dining outlets (Bay View, Bahrain Bay Kitchen, Beach Deck), in-room dining, and catering, Di Clemente will lead the culinary team to ensure each outlet and each event is carefully executed and uniquely considered.

“While I started my journey rooted in Italy’s rich culinary heritage and Mediterranean cuisine, travelling has influenced my culinary knowledge in substantial ways, allowing me to experience new flavours, cooking techniques and cultures from Asia, Europe and beyond,” comments Di Clemente. “What excites me about starting my journey in the Kingdom of Bahrain is the opportunity to embrace the culinary history of the region, particularly with its unique flavour combinations and ingredients including Arabic spices.”

When not in the kitchen, Di Clemente enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, and can often be found scouring the local markets in search of fresh seasonal ingredients to inspire his next dish.
