Korean Incheon Airport attracted Manufacturing Factory and R&D Center in its Free Trade Zone

2013-07-16 — /travelprnews.com/ — On May 24th, Incheon Airport has signed the enforcement agreement with STATS ChipPAC Korea, a global leading semiconductor manufacturing enterprise to build an integrated facility for manufacturing and research in the Free Trade Zone at Incheon Airport.

It is planned that STATS ChipPAC Korea, a world-leading enterprise specializing in semiconductor packaging and tests, will invest the total of about 250 billion Korean won to finish construction and operate facilities.

By August 2015, the semiconductor manufacturing factory and global R&D center will be built in the Free Trade Zone occupying 100,117m² area. This is the first time when the manufacturing facilities with a great number of laborers moved at the Free Trade Zone near Incheon Airport.

With such a relocation, it is expected that the company will be able to improve competitiveness by reducing logistics cost and at the same time the area will also get benefits from job creation and the invigoration of the local economy.
