MUMBAI, 2016-Feb-25 — /Travel PR News/ — Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, today announced the appointment of Rahul Taneja as Chief People Officer.
Mr. Taneja, 47, has over 25 years of experience in diverse industry sectors and has worked in HR leadership positions across leading Indian and international companies.
As Chief People Officer of Jet Airways, Mr. Taneja will be responsible for shaping the operations and performance of the Group. He will join the Executive Management Committee that has been tasked by the Board of Directors of Jet Airways to drive the company’s growth and future strategy.
Commenting on the appointment, Naresh Goyal, Chairman, Jet Airways, said : “I am delighted that Rahul Taneja has joined Jet Airways as Chief People Officer and a key member of our executive management committee. He brings with him a global HR management perspective, and I am sure Jet Airways will benefit substantially from his expertise and experience locally and internationally. Mr Taneja previously headed Corporate Human Resources at Essar Group, an Energy, Metals & Mining, Infrastructure and Services multinational corporation. At Essar, he spearheaded the strategic re-design of the organisation and led the HR function for global operations across all business portfolios.
His earlier roles included HR Director at computer giant Dell International and Group HR Head at telecom networks solutions company, HFCL.
