JERSEY, 2014-11-3 — /Travel PR News/ — Jersey Tourism is exhibiting at the leading global World Travel Market (WTM) in London next week. The event is a vibrant business-to-business opportunity presenting a diverse range of destinations to UK and International travel professionals. It is an opportunity for the global travel trade to meet, network, negotiate and conduct business.
The exhibition takes place at the ExCel exhibition centre, located in London’s Docklands close to Canary Wharf and London City airport.
Now in its 35th year WTM runs for four days 3 – 6 November and attracts over 50,000 of the global travel and tourism senior executives as well as more than 5000 exhibitors, representing 183 countries.
Director of tourism and marketing, David de Carteret, said
“This is the most important exhibition that we attend in the UK. It gives us an opportunity to discuss business going forward with our existing operators and create relationships with potential new ones, especially targeting developing markets. WTM also showcases trends and developments and innovative promotional avenues which we will also be exploring.
The competition for Jersey is high and whilst we are having a successful year in growing our leisure business in 2014, we are working hard to continue this growth for the rest of the year, into the 2015 and beyond”.
Joining the Jersey Tourism team on the stand are travel trade partners Condor Ferries, Flybe, Seymour Hotels and VisitGuernsey.
