Japan Airlines to serve Doi Tung Coffee created by Mae Fah Luang Foundation and Mi Cafeto on Bangkok route
Tokyo, Japan, 2018-Nov-27 — /Travel PR News/ — Japan Airlines will serve Doi Tung Coffee created by the Mae Fah Luang Foundation and Mi Cafeto Co., Ltd. on JAL`s Bangkok route from December 1, 2018.
JAL and Mi Cafeto started their partnership in 2011 and since then, have served a variety of coffee beans through JAL CAFÉ LINES, the carrier`s branded inflight service featuring high quality coffee.
Doi Tung Coffee was created by the Mae Fah Luang Foundation, which aimed to create new opportunities for areas with high poverty rates through the operation of coffee plantations in the mountainous areas of Thailand. The quality of the coffee beans was later improved under the supervision of Mi Cafeto.
Effective Date – From December 1, 2018
Applicable Route – Bangkok Route
Applicable Class – Business Class, Premium Economy Class, Economy Class

About Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage
A nonprofit organization initially founded by Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Boromarajajonani, the mother of King Bhumipol Adulyadej in 1969 to reduce poverty among the ethnic minorities in the northern part of Thailand, whose livelihoods depended on opium production, human trafficking, forest destruction, and environmental degradation.
About Doi Tung Coffee
Coffee beans created by the ethnic minorities in the area. Since 2014, technical consultancy and quality control training has been done by Mi Cafeto CEO, Yoshiaki Kawashima.
The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) supplied the Doi Tung productwith its logo recognizing that income from the Doi Tung product contributes toward the achievement of a drug free world.
