Japan Airlines and China Airlines strengthen codeshare agreement on all flights between Japan and Taiwan

TOKYO, JAPAN, 2017-Feb-20 — /Travel PR News/ — Japan Airlines (JAL) and China Airlines (CI) have begun a codeshare partnership on the Haneda = Taipei (Songshan) route since 2010. The two airlines have decided to further expand the codeshare cooperation on all flights operated by JAL and CI between Japan and Taiwan starting February 21, 2017. Reservation and ticket sales for the new codeshare flights will also start from February 21, 2017.

With this strengthened cooperation between JAL and CI, JAL will continue to enhance its network and provide business and leisure customers, with more convenience and enjoyable experience on every journey.

New codeshare routes (JAL/CI) between Japan and Taiwan

– New codeshare flights will start from February 21, 2017.

– Reservation and ticket sales are available from February 21, 2017 at 11 am (Japan standard time).

– The total number of JAL/CI codeshare flights will expand from 28 weekly flights to 240 flights a week at the most (the number varies depending on seasonal schedules).

– New codeshare flights operated by CI on following routes:

Japan	Taiwan
Sapporo (New Chitose)/Toyama/Tokyo (Narita)/ Shizuoka/Nagoya (Chubu)/Osaka (Kansai)/Takamatsu/ Hiroshima/Fukuoka/Kagoshima/Miyazaki/ Okinawa(Naha)/Ishigaki	Taipei (Taoyuan)
Sapporo (New Chitose) /Tokyo (Narita)/Osaka (Kansai) /Kumamoto/Okinawa	Kaohsiung
Osaka (Kansai)	Tainan

– New codeshare flights operated by JAL on following routes:

1. Codeshare flights are subject to government approval.

2. Flight schedule and dates are subject to changes. Please visit JAL website for the latest information.

3. Ishigaki = Taipei (Taoyuan) route will be starting March 29, 2017 (Subject to government approval).
