VIENNA, AUSTRIA, 2017-Apr-05 — /Travel PR News/ — Effective immediately, Vienna Airport features one more culinary attraction. The British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is expanding to Austria for the first time. As a first step, he is opening the take-away concept “Jamie’s Deli” in Terminal 3. It will offer a large number of quickly prepared and healthy take-away Italian dishes, from honey toasted granola pot and filled sandwiches to numerous varieties of salads. The Jamie Oliver restaurant area will be expanded in collaboration with investor and operator SSP – The Food Travel Experts. The restaurant “Jamie’s Italian” will open at the end of 2017, to be followed by the Jamie Oliver Bar in mid-2018.

First milestone: “Jamie’s Deli” in Terminal 3
The British celebrity chef, entrepreneur and book author is opening his first restaurant in Austria at Vienna Airport. He will begin with his take-away concept “Jamie’s Deli” in Terminal 3, near Gates F and G. The restaurant will feature a rustic, urban style, luring passengers with its multifaceted offering of take-away meals for every time of day. Customers can choose from fresh smoothies, filled sandwiches, pizza and numerous types of salads. An English breakfast as well as croissants and pastries will be offered in the morning hours. “Jamie’s Deli” is open daily from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m., and is operated by SSP – The Food Travel Experts.
Emphasis on regionality and sustainability
Jamie Oliver attaches great importance to sustainability and regional products, with a focus on a healthy lifestyle. Processed foods are subject to stringent testing and have to fulfil the high-quality standards of the Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group. For example, eggs from free range farming are used as well as fish from recognized, sustainable fisheries. Moreover, Jamie Oliver does without foods containing any kind of preservatives.
The culinary offering of Jamie Oliver will be successively expanded
Two other restaurants will be gradually set up in Terminal 3. The popular “Jamie’s Italian”, in which passenger can enjoy Mediterranean dishes and high-quality service in a relaxed restaurant atmosphere, will likely open at the end of 2017. Exclusive cocktails and small snacks will be offered at the celebrity chef’s bar starting in the middle of 2018. The Jamie Oliver localities will cover an area of more than 800 m². They are easily accessible to passengers departing from Gates F and G.
