InterContinental Hotels Group opens Staybridge Suites® Houston NW Willowbrook hotel

Property opening adds to brand’s growing portfolio in Texas 

ATLANTA, 2014-9-18 — /Travel PR News/ — InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) [LON: IHG, NYSE: IHG (ADRs)], announces the opening of the Staybridge Suites®Houston NW Willowbrook hotel, located just off Highway 249. With this addition to IHG’s Houston hotels, there are now more than 30 Staybridge Suites hotels in Texas, with over 15 hotels more in the pipeline.  Recently, the brand opened its 200th hotel in Denver, Colorado.

The hotel is in close proximity to some of the area’s prominent businesses and other enterprises – Noble® Drilling, Foxconn®, HP® as well as St Luke’s Hospital and Methodist Hospital. The hotel – which converted to the Staybridge Suites brand following a $2 million renovation – is owned by Willowbrook Hospitality, LP and managed by DePalma Hotels and is franchised by an affiliate of IHG.

The three-story Staybridge Suites Houston NW Willowbrook hotel features 77 well-designed spacious suites (a mix of studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom/two-bath). The new property offers exceptional home-like surroundings including complimentary amenities such as Internet connectivity throughout the hotel with Wireless Anywhere, daily hot breakfast, Laundry Room, Fitness Room, Pool, and a 24-hour Business Center, as well as access to The Pantry, the hotel’s 24-hour convenience store. Guests can relax and mingle in the hotel’s Great Room during The Social evening receptions, held each Tuesday through Thursday, offering complimentary beer and wine and customizable entrées.
