Indy Airport welcomes Southwest Airlines’ new Nonstops flights to Panama City and Miami

Nonstops to Panama City and Miami start this summer

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, 2021-May-12 — /Travel PR News/ — More good news is coming out of the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) as Southwest Airlines announces it will launch two new nonstop flights to the Florida destinations of Panama City (ECP) and Miami (MIA) starting in June. Panama City is a new nonstop destination for Indy travelers, and the first time Southwest has flown to Miami.

Southwest’s announcement comes on the heels of its March news that it will be adding a seasonal nonstop from Indianapolis to Myrtle Beach on June 6, increasing the growing list of airlines that will begin new nonstops out of the city to top leisure destinations early this summer.

The Panama City nonstop flight will depart out of Indy five times a week starting on June 6, and the Miami nonstop flight will depart on Saturdays launching on June 12.

“Good news keeps landing here in Indy, almost weekly in fact!” said Mario Rodriguez, executive director of the Indianapolis Airport Authority. “This news means more destinations, more choices, and a previous unserved market now accessible out of Indy and a first for Southwest to Miami.”

Currently Southwest offers nonstop flights from Indy to Atlanta, Austin (Texas), Baltimore, Cancun, Dallas-Love Field, Denver, Ft. Lauderdale, Houston-Hobby, Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix, Ft. Myers, Sarasota/Bradenton and Tampa (Florida).
