At a glittering ceremony held in Mumbai, the Maharashtra Chief Minister, Shri Prithviraj Chavan, was the chief guest and Jet Airways was proud to receive this prestigious award in front of several luminaries from the travel and trade industry.
The seventh edition of the Travel Awards was organised by CNBC Awaaz, India’s premier business channel, in association with Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), responsible for development of tourism in the state.
The CNBC Awaaz Travel Awards 2013 are based on an exhaustive consumer response study conducted across the country, with over 10000 respondents across all segments. The awards seek to recognize and honour the best in class destinations, organizations and service providers based on an objective study conducted by CNBC AWAAZ across multimedia platforms. They put into perspective the emerging trends in India’s tourism ranging from leisure, medical, adventure and heritage tourism.

The airline was previously awarded the ‘Best Domestic Airline’ in 2012; ‘Airline with the Best Business Class’ and ‘Airline with the Best Economy Class’ at the CNBC Awaaz Travel Awards 2008, in the Airlines of India Category. The CNBC Awaaz Travel Awards are an annual event hosted by CNBC AWAAZ, India’s first business and consumer-focused Hindi channel, to honor the best in class travel destinations and other ancillary services of the tourism industry.
