Stanley K. Lacy program, Airport Business find top protégés at Indy airport
INDIANAPOLIS, 2018-Jul-23 — /Travel PR News/ — Two rising young stars within the Indianapolis Airport Authority’s management team are in the spotlight this month for their professional achievements, leadership potential and community commitment.
IAA’s Manager of Communications Megan Carrico and Business Development Analyst Maggie Bishop have been selected for prestigious honors — with Carrico being named to the 43rd class of the 2019 Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series and Bishop being named to the Airport Business Magazine’s 40 Under 40 List.
“We are proud of Megan and Maggie — both for their commitment to every day job performance, as well as the significance of each of these awards,” said IAA Executive Director Mario Rodriguez. “Just as importantly, these acknowledgements also speak strongly of our organization’s dedication to developing and recognizing emerging leaders who have solid potential to advance to greater positions of responsibility here at the airport and in the industry.”
Carrico, who joined the IAA in 2015, has advanced rapidly through the ranks of the public-affairs department, now managing and mentoring two newly hired colleagues. She also was the architect of the IAA’s new website launched in 2017. Additionally, she manages the IAA’s interactions with all local, national and international media regarding airport business and the various roles the airport plays in our community.
Bishop, who joined the IAA in 2016, was selected for the Airport Business 40 Under 40 List based on her diligent and instrumental role in nearly all recent IAA air-service achievements – including welcoming Alaska Airlines, the Allegiant Airlines crew-base expansion in Indianapolis, the Delta Airlines Paris flight, and her work in representing the IAA with the International Center, the Indianapolis Sports Corporation and Conexus, among other organizations. The 40 Under 40 List is an annual designation to recognize young, top talent and leading thinkers in the industry.
“Megan and Maggie each are fine examples of the young, yet extremely talented, employees committed to the success of the IAA,” said Rodriguez.
Carrico is a Ball State University graduate, and a native of New Palestine, Ind., Bishop is a graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, and a native of Austin, Texas.
