This latest growth demonstrates the ongoing confidence of owners in these brands, which are part of the Holiday Inn Brand Family, directly supporting IHG Hotels & Resorts’ ambition for long-term expansion across a multitude of European cities as industry recovery continues. Famous the world over, the Holiday Inn Brand Family continues to be first choice for guests as well, with an estimated two people per second checking in, pre-pandemic, for a stay at Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn Express or Holiday Inn Club Vacations properties across the globe.

Holiday Inn Express was created in 1991 to challenge convention in the travel industry with a belief in the power of simple, smart travel. The brand caters to smart, savvy travellers who are on-the-move and two steps ahead. The brand has 282 open hotels (36,538 guest rooms) across Europe with a further 31 properties in the development pipeline.
Globally, the Holiday Inn Brand Family has 4,266 open hotels, totalling more than half a million guest rooms, with nearly a thousand further properties in the development pipeline.
