Iconic Aalborg Landmark Reopens as Comwell Hvide Hus Dolce by Wyndham with Modern Danish Design
(NEWS) LONDON, 2025-Aug-20 — /Travel PR News/ — Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has expanded its Dolce by Wyndham brand in Denmark with the opening of the newly remodeled Comwell Hvide Hus Aalborg, a 16-story landmark overlooking Kildeparken in the country’s fourth-largest city.
Originally opened in 1969 and long known as a destination for weddings and celebrations, the hotel has been reimagined with a contemporary “classic cool” design rooted in Danish simplicity, featuring 198 upgraded rooms furnished by iconic Danish brand HAY. Guests can enjoy Restaurant Vesterbro with its seasonal, locally sourced menus, Bar V with terrace views, and a top-floor fitness center overlooking the city.
Positioned just steps from Aalborg’s center, the property offers 13 flexible meeting spaces, including a 15th-floor Panorama Floor, ideal for events of up to 365 guests. Dimitris Manikis, Wyndham’s EMEA President, highlighted the growing appeal of the Nordics as a hub for experience-driven travel, while Michael Hansen of Comwell Hotels emphasized the value of partnering with Wyndham to deliver a revitalized hotel experience that blends local authenticity with the Dolce brand’s signature focus on cuisine, design, and events.
