MADRID, Spain, 2019-Aug-07 — /Travel PR News/ — Iberia is now accepting candidates for its pilot training programme, and will lend them half the cost of training, without interest.
The new Iberia Cadets programme is designed to ensure a supply of well-qualified pilots to cover the airline’s expanding needs.
The programme is also intended to encourage more young people to consider training as airline pilots, by making it more accessible.
On the successful completion of their training, cadets will be offered jobs in the Iberia Group, which is now undergoing expansion.
Training will initially be conducted at the FTEJerez flying school in southern Spain. Iberia and the school will both take part in the selection process. The Iberia Group will offer interest-free loans covering half the cost of the training, which will enable candidates to earn their airline pilot licenses.
Iberia will also play a direct role in their training, and will monitor their progress. Graduates will be offered places in Iberia Group airlines, and the training costs financed by the group will be deducted from their pay over time.
The application period for the first 20 candidates begins today and ends on 6 September. Training of this first class of Iberia Cadets will begin in November.
Aspiring pilots should visit http://ftejerez.com/iberia to see the requirements for applying for places, and to submit their applications.
