(PRESS RELEASE) Chicago, IL, 2024-Oct-9 — /Travel PR News/ — Hyatt is taking a significant step forward in its dedication to wellbeing by announcing a new partnership with Mind Share Partners, a nonprofit organization focused on transforming workplace mental health culture. This collaboration is designed to enhance understanding of mental health issues, foster proactive support, and create a healthier work environment for Hyatt’s colleagues.

Christy Sinnott, Senior Vice President of Talent Management at Hyatt, stated, “Our unique approach to wellbeing begins with listening to the needs of our colleagues and extends to every guest who walks through our doors. We recognize that wellbeing is a deeply personal journey, which is why we aim to cultivate a culture of wellbeing by providing a variety of resources and experiences that cater to both individual identity and emotional health. Partnering with Mind Share Partners further strengthens our mission to cultivate a mentally healthy workplace where everyone can flourish.”

Launching the Collaboration

To initiate this collaboration, Hyatt and Mind Share Partners held a series of focus groups and interviews with leaders and colleagues worldwide, exploring cultural nuances and the stigmas surrounding mental health. With the expertise of Mind Share Partners, Hyatt plans to normalize discussions about mental wellbeing, broaden awareness, and promote the importance of mental health through personal storytelling from Hyatt leaders sharing their own experiences.

Supporting Colleagues for World Mental Health Day and Beyond

In conjunction with the partnership, Hyatt is offering complimentary virtual sessions with Mind Share Partners for colleagues around the globe during the week of October 7. These sessions aim to deepen understanding of mental health practices.

Hyatt also continues to provide a range of resources and programs designed to promote holistic wellbeing, including:

  • Headspace: Since 2019, Hyatt has collaborated with Headspace to offer colleagues complimentary access to mindfulness resources that enhance mental and emotional health through meditation, guided exercises, and sleep improvement tools.

TJ Abrams, Vice President of Wellbeing at Hyatt, commented, “As World Mental Health Day approaches, we are reminded of the crucial role mental and emotional wellbeing plays in our everyday lives. Wellbeing is embedded in our DNA as a hospitality company focused on care. We are dedicated to partnering with leading brands and experts to provide valuable resources that empower everyone we serve—guests, World of Hyatt members, customers, and colleagues—to prioritize their personal wellbeing journeys.”
