Queenstown, New Zealand, 2016-May-20 — /Travel PR News/ — A new luxury, boutique accommodation in a restored Victorian villa will open in Queenstown on June 1, just in time for the busy winter season.
Hulbert House has six uniquely designed suites with views overlooking either Lake Wakatipu or the Skyline Hill. Located one block from Queenstown’s central business area, Hulbert House was built in 1887 during the height of the New Zealand gold rush.
Award-winning New Zealand designer Neil McLachlan has created an elegant and opulent palate to capture the heritage of the building and grounds. “The fittings include intricate chandeliers, French antiques and wrought iron balustrades. The Chinese willow pattern carpet, especially designed by McLachlan, was tailor-made in England from pure New Zealand wool,” Bruce Garrett says.
Hulbert House guests will enjoy personal concierge service, breakfast, refreshments during the day and pre-dinner drinks and canapes.
Queenstown is one of New Zealand’s most popular tourist destinations attracting more than a million visitors annually, who come for everything from world-class skiing and snowboarding to jet boating, rafting and bungy jumping or simple relaxation.
There are many premium activity options including wine tasting at some of the world class cellar doors in the Central Otago region or soaking in a private spa at Onsen Hot pools. Queenstown visitors can spend the morning in the mountains, the afternoon exploring forest trails and dine al fresco by the lakeside come nightfall.
After a day exploring, Hulbert House is the perfect place to relax and unwind after taking in what Queenstown has to offer.
Hulbert House is a six suite property managed by Brook Serene and Co Limited, the same company behind prestigious properties The George Christchurch, Hotel Montreal Christchurch and The Regent of Rotorua.
Managing Director of The George hotel collection, Bruce Garrett says the new Queenstown property is a perfect fit for the company’s growing portfolio.
“Hulbert House is a rare gem in Queenstown – an outstanding piece of Victorian heritage, beautifully restored, offering a high level of service and attention to detail,” he says.
