HONG KONG, 2015-6-30 — /Travel PR News/ — Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has been named the “Best Airport – Asia” at the 2015 Asian Freight, Logistics & Supply Chain Awards (AFLAS) organised byAsia Cargo News. The AFLAS awards are designed to recognise outstanding organisations for demonstrating leadership, as well as consistency in service quality, innovation, customer relationship management and reliability. Awardees are nominated by freight and logistics industry players and voted for by Asia Cargo News readers.
In winning the “Best Airport – Asia” award, HKIA has excelled in the development of cargo-related infrastructure, cost competitiveness and the facilitation of air cargo ancillary services.

HKIA is connected to about 180 destinations worldwide through around 1,100 daily flights by more than 100 airlines. In 2014, HKIA handled a record 4.38 million tonnes of cargo, up 6% year on year.
