Hilton Sofia Bulgaria welcomed more than 350 guests for Oktoberfest Celebration

SOFIA, Bulgaria, 2013-10-02 — /travelprnews.com/ — On September 21 Hilton Sofia hosted the official Oktoberfest celebration in the city. More than 350 guests joined the spectacular event, organized under the patronage of the German Embassy.

The entire hotel lobby was transformed into a beer tent. The Kids Oktoberfest started at 17:00 and in addition to the various themed games, the kids had the chance to enjoy a ride with a beautifully decorated Oktoberfest horse carriage.

At 19:00 H. E. Mr. Matthias Hoepfner, Ambassador of Germany to Bulgaria, opened the Oktoberfest 2013. He got off the horse carriage in front of the hotel entrance and assisted by General Manager Stephan Reiter, traditionally tapped the first beer keg, which marked the official opening of the party.

Executive Chef André Tokev and his culinary team prepared typical Bavarian dishes like Weisswuerste, Knusprig gebratene Schweinshaxn, Bierkutschergulasch, Bayerisches Brathendl, Apfelstrudel and many more.
The purchasing team managed to import Weihenstephan Original (original Bavarian Helles) as well as the typical Maß glasses especially for this event!

DJ Carsten Lange and a famous local brass band took care of the Oktoberfest entertainment throughout the evening.

As the tradition is in Bavaria, on Sunday 22nd the hotel welcomed all Oktoberfest fans to a typical Frühschopen starting at 11:00 on the Hilton terrace.
