In Partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank and SA Goes Orange

SAN ANTONIO, Texas 2012-09-18 — /travelprnews.com/ — Hilton Palacio del Rio today announced participation in SA Goes Orange by changing all the balcony lights to orange. SA Goes Orange is the San Antonio Food Bank local campaign to raise awareness and engage local businesses, government and the community to raise awareness and take action to fight hunger. September is Hunger Action Month, and SA Goes Orange is part of that nationwide initiative.

Hilton Palacio del Rio goes orange through September 30, 2012.

Hilton Palacio del Rio team members are taking action to fight hunger and have organized a food drive during the week of September 17 – 23. They are focused on collecting the top ten items needed by the Food Bank: peanut butter, cereal, tuna, rice, macaroni & cheese, chili, canned stews, canned soups & luncheon meats, full meals in a can/box and pop top food items.

“It is our opportunity to help create a movement throughout September that has an impact on efforts to feed more South Texans than ever before,” said Robert Thrailkill, general manager, Hilton Palacio del Rio. “I am proud to see our team members taking action in the local community and supporting this important service.”
