Heritage Park Historical Village celebrates Heritage Day with fun-filled day of activities, entertainment and Western Canadian heritage

Calgary, AB, 2016-Jul-29 — /Travel PR News/ —  Celebrate Canada’s rich cultural diversity and history this Heritage Day, Monday, August 1, at Heritage Park Historical Village from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Bring the whole family for a fun-filled day of activities, entertainment and Western Canadian heritage.

Lively costumed interpreters bring history to life in the homes, shops and on the streets of Heritage Park!  Wander through the exhibits, take a spin on the antique midway, a cruise on Calgary’s only paddlewheel boat or tour the park on an authentic steam train. Play traditional Aboriginal games, train to be a voyageur and march with the Mounties!

Be one of the first 500 guests through the gates before 11 a.m. and kick off the day with a complimentary pancake breakfast in Gunn’s Dairy Barn.  Special activities for the day include a family scavenger hunt that will take you on a park-wide journey through the past and dancing with the Chinook Country Line Dancers.  Musical performances throughout the day include the Highwood Shedders, VOX ladies acapella quartet and the Prairie Mountain Fiddlers.
