LAS VEGAS, NV, 2023-Jan-28 — /Travel PR News/ — Harry Reid International Airport is beginning a project to increase the capacity and convenience of customer parking for Terminal 1. This is another effort to enhance the customer experience as record volumes of passengers continue to travel through the airport and certain parking options reach capacity more frequently.
Once completed, more than 1,500 additional customer parking spaces will be just steps away from Terminal 1.
Terminal 1 Long Term Garage: More than 500 additional covered parking spaces
New Terminal 1 Economy Lot: Approximately 1,000 parking spaces
The Zero Level (ground floor) of the Terminal 1 parking garage and the adjacent surface lot were previously utilized as employee parking at Harry Reid International Airport. This project shifts employee parking to the existing Terminal 1 Economy Lot, creating additional long-term parking capacity in the garage and establishing the adjacent surface lot as the new Terminal 1 Economy Lot.
Customers utilizing the Terminal 1 Long Term garage should experience little impact to their normal parking routines during the renovation of the Zero Level and surface lot.
Those choosing to park at the existing Economy Lot will notice an increase in traffic as employees transition to their newly designated lot. This will also mean less parking spaces will be available in this location.
Those planning to park at the airport should:
Allow additional time to find a parking space.
Consider heading directly to the Terminal 3 Long Term Garage.
Factor in busier roadways around the airport due to ongoing highway construction.
