Nova Scotia, Canada, 2016-Feb-01 — /Travel PR News/ — Beginning May 6, travellers will have a new connection between Halifax, Iqaluit and Ottawa as FlySarvaq launches weekly service at Halifax Stanfield.
“We are delighted to welcome FlySarvaq to Halifax Stanfield,” says Ian Arthur, HIAA Chief Commercial Officer. “This new air service will enhance travel options for both business and leisure travellers, saving them time and money. The route will also stimulate growth between the two regions by improving the movement of cargo to and from Iqaluit and encourage Atlantic Canadians to explore this part of Canada’s north.”
All FlySarvaq flights will be operated by Nolinor Aviation and will offer three classes of fares available for booking, all with different terms and conditions. Introductory fares are available for booking and all flights will be flown by Nolinor on one of their Boeing 737s.
“It is our hope that this service will create significant possibilities for Nunavummiut looking to travel south, as well as open up more opportunities for people to visit Nunavut,” said Adamee Itorcheak, President of Sarvaq, partner in FlySarvaq. “Imagine being able to arrive from Nunavut and connect with upward of 30 flights going across the country or even internationally, or to travel to or from Arctic Bay to Ottawa in one day?”
Flights will be available for booking online by March 1 on FlySarvaq’s multi-lingual website www.flysarvaq.com or through the call centre at 1-844-9SARVAQ during business hours. Airport locations will open soon, in anticipation of the first flight.
