2012-07-23 — /travelprnews.com/ — Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal attended a book launch at Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel on Wednesday 18 July 2012 to celebrate Her Regiment’s new book, Uniquely British.
Compiled by The Household Cavalry’s men and officers, it tells the story of a historically ‘British’ year – a year in which Britain’s most senior Regiment played a crucial role. From the Royal Wedding of William and Kate in June 2011 to the Diamond Jubilee in June 2012, the book beautifully depicts both events and features a collection of exquisite photography. The book is proudly sponsored by Marriott Hotels and sales of Uniquely British will raise funds for the Household Cavalry Foundation; the Regiment’s newly formed charity to support injured soldiers, bereaved families, veterans and retired horses.
HRH Princess Anne, Colonel of the Blues and Royals, joined soldiers and special guests in a champagne reception in the ballroom at Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel to toast the Regiment’s book and a historic year. Marriott Area Vice President UK South and Ireland, Ed Hubennette, General Manager Stuart Bowery and Director of Sales & Marketing, Vicki Richards had the privilege of meeting Princess Anne at the event.
