BELFAST, Northern Ireland, 2020-Jan-10 — /Travel PR News/ — New year, new appliances for the George Best Belfast City Airport Fire Service!
The Airport Fire and Rescue Service has now completed its new fleet with the arrival of the final two fire tenders.
Each representing an investment in the region of £1million, the new arrivals form part of the £15million investment into the terminal and passenger experience that was announced in 2018, with the first of the appliances arriving last year.
Purpose built for the airport by the Spanish firm Iturri, the tenders can deliver 45,000 litres of foam every minute, have a top speed of nearly 80 mph and can operate in zero visibility, ensuring Belfast City Airport continues to maintain its high standard of passenger safety.
