MESA, Ariz. — 2012-12-20 — /travelprnews.com/ — Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport works hard to make your travel experience just plane easy.® You can take steps to better ensure an easy experience by arriving at Gateway two hours before your flight departs and allow for possible traffic delays on your way to the airport.
If you are picking up a passenger, the first 30 minutes of parking is free and $1 per each additional half-hour. There is a free cell phone lot located southwest of the terminal. Additionally, if you make a purchase at Paradise Bakery & Café located inside the Terminal’s baggage claim area, you can validate your parking token to receive an additional 30 minutes of free parking.
TSA Checkpoint Tips
The Transportation Security Administration requires liquids and gels to be in three-ounce containers or less, packed in a clear, zip-top bag to pass through security. Larger quantities of medically necessary liquids are allowed only at the discretion of TSA screeners.
Food items such as pies and cakes are permitted, but may require further inspection. If travelers are not sure if a food item is considered a liquid or gel, it is best to pack the item in checked baggage or ship it to a destination in advance.
Wrapped gifts are allowed, but not encouraged as the TSA may have to inspect the item. For questions about security screening, visit www.tsa.gov or contact the TSA at 866-289-9673.
