Toronto, 2013-03-07 — /travelprnews.com/ — Passengers are planning and packing and getting ready to kick off their March Break here at the airport.
This year Toronto Pearson is expecting 101,000 guests on March 7 and 107,000 on March 8
These will be the two busiest days of the March Break season. On a typical day, Toronto Pearson sees about 95,000 guests travelling through the airport. Airport staff are prepared to welcome the extra guests to the airport.
“We have some great activities planned to help families feel welcomed and comfortable as they start their March Break at the airport,” said Pamela Griffith-Jones, Vice President of Guest and Terminal Services for the GTAA. “We know our guests will be delighted by the entertainment and surprises we have planned for them and that it will help start their vacation on the right note.”
The airport has many activities in place to make travel through the airport this March Break fun and exciting:
Guests are reminded to check out the many new restaurants and retail outlets while they’re waiting for their flight. In the last year, 16 new shops and restaurants have opened at the airport including: Hudson’s Bay Company Trading Post, Boccone Trattoria by Chef Massimo Capra, Heirloom Bakery Cafe, Fetta Panini Bar developed by Chef Mark McEwan, and the Terminal 3 iStore. For information on food and beverage and shopping options for the busy family, check out our website: http://www.torontopearson.com/en/shopdinerelax/#.
Parking right at the airport is the most convenient option for guests, especially those families travelling with car seats or a lot of luggage. For hassle-free parking, for parents juggling kids, strollers and bags, take advantage of the Valet Parking option (available in Terminals 1 and 3). For just $25 on top of the daily parking fee, guests can drop off everything right at the curb and have confidence that their vehicle will be taken care of by Valet parking attendants.
Guests travelling on March 7 and 8 will be greeted at the airport’s doors by airport employees participating in the Ambassador Program. These volunteers will be located throughout both terminals welcoming guests as they arrive at the airport.
