DENVER, 2012-08-22 — /travelprnews.com/ — Frontier Airlines will today present a check totaling $54,440 to the Pikes Peak Red Cross to help people affected by the Colorado wildfires. The check presentation and a small appreciation event will take place today at 10 a.m. at the Frontier Airlines ticket counters in the Colorado Springs Airport.
During the month of July, Frontier Airlines donated 10 cents for every $1 spent on-board for food and beverage items to American Red Cross Disaster Relief. This gift enables the Red Cross to prepare for and provide shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance in response to this disaster.
“The loss from the Colorado wildfires weighs heavy on us not only as Colorado’s hometown airline, but also because of the impact they have had on our customers and staff,” said David Siegel, Frontier’s President and CEO. “We are happy to have been able to help those hurting in our community.”
Frontier Airlines is a wholly owned subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:RJET).
