e-Connect Chair puts technology at travellers’ fingertips while keeping the sand under their feet

Santa Barbara, U.S.A. – 2013-02-12 — /travelprnews.com/ — Guests of Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara can now stay connected in all the ways they wish while soaking up the alluring, Riviera-like surroundings – thanks to a technology enabledchaise longue of the Resort’s own creation. The “e-Connect Chair,” available to guests spending time at the Resort’s exclusive Coral Casino Beach and Cabana Club on Butterfly Beach, makes it easy to combine productivity with pleasure by enabling guests to “plug in” to all the latest technologies in poolside comfort and retro glamour.

The lounge chair employs a variety of high tech capabilities including a tablet holder that allows for hands-free viewing of a personal tablet or e-reader, a wireless charger, Sony noise-cancelling headphones and a USD 5.00 iTunes gift card. To enhance the overall experience, guests are also treated to soothing L’Occitane hand and face towels, a warming/cooling comfort pillow, and a complimentary beverage – either a freshly pressed organic juice or smoothie from Fins, or a specialty cocktail.

e-Connecting pool-goers can reboot with a creative High Tech Cocktails menu consisting of four tasty refreshment solutions: Megabyte Martini, The 3G, Marg.com and a non-alcoholic #Softw@re Soda. While they wait, they can scan the menu’s QR codes with their mobile device to watch videos of the bartenders creating the drinks.

Chairs can be reserved for a daily fee of USD 35.00. Staff will assist with set-up on any pool deck chaise longue, or guests may call ahead to have it assembled prior to arrival.

For summer, the Resort will also offer a pint-size version of the chair, complete with an iPod Touch programmed with a variety of age appropriate games and music, headphones, kid’s sunscreen, a special snack menu, and a Four Seasons hat for the child to take home as a souvenir of his or her day at the Coral Casino.
