Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North to celebrate Father’s Day with a weekend of foodie fun

Specialty golf-themed brunch, three-course dinner highlight weekend celebration

Scottsdale, U.S.A., 2014-6-7 — /Travel PR News/ — Celebrate Dad with a weekend of foodie fun this Father’s Day at Proof, an American canteen, and Onyx Bar & Lounge at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North.   Special happenings include everything from a three-course dinner to a golf-themed brunch and ice cream sundae social.

“As a dad, I know the way to a father’s heart is through his stomach!” says Executive Chef Mel Mecinas.  “Whether Dad prefers to kick off the day with a special brunch, enjoy a relaxed evening in Onyx Bar, or cap the evening with a celebratory dinner, we have the day covered.”

Early risers can begin the day in Proof with a breakfast buffet on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 7:00 – 11:00 am, offered for USD 28.00 per person.  Or, treat Dad to a golf-themed brunch, from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm, featuring additional selections including an omelet station, cowboy eggs benedict with sausage gravy, and Cedar River filets with mushroom demi.  Dessert options include ice cream floats, cookies and pie.  Dad will have a ball showing off his professional golf skills in the “putt for a pint” challenge, and can enjoy USD 10.00 Proof Bloody Marys for the duration of the day. The brunch buffet is USD 38.00 per person, and USD 15.00 for children ages 5–12.

Does Dad have a sweet tooth?  If so, complete Father’s Day with “Sundaes on Sunday” at Proof.  The whole family will enjoy “buy one, get one free” sundaes from 3:00 to 5:30 pm, offered every Sunday afternoon.  Choose from favourites including the “Un-Birthday Sundae,” featuring cake batter ice cream and sprinkles, as well as an unlit birthday candle.  Or tuck in to the “Yo-Yo Diet,” with non-fat frozen yogurt and strawberries.

Proof also will host a three-course dinner that evening, with the first course highlighting a half-dozen oysters on the half shell, served with a Bloody Mary cocktail sauce and charred pineapple mignonette. The second course features garlic-thyme slow-roasted rib eye, crab-whipped potatoes and bacon-fava bean hollandaise.  For dessert, Mississippi Mud Pie provides the perfect finale.  The cost for the three-course meal is USD 48.00 per person.

Head to Onyx Bar & Lounge for a “Father’s Day Favourites” special menu.  Highlights include a brisket burger and choice of local beer, or steak frites and Scotch, pairing together a petite filet, loaded potato wedges and Macallan 12-year Scotch.  Stay for the sunset views in Onyx and toast Dad with a signature cocktail or wine flight.

Extend the fun for Dad with an overnight stay at the property, with rates beginning at USD 169.00 a night over Father’s Day weekend.  Alternately, book the Experience More package to enjoy a USD 100.00 credit for every two paid nights, perfect to enjoy the Father’s Day brunch in Proof.
