Following the success of Private Room, Four Seasons launches its 4th pop up bar on September 26, 2013
2013-09-02 — /travelprnews.com/ — The new pop-up bar concept at Four Seasons Resort Marrakech is inspired by American speakeasies during the Prohibition era of the 1920s, when alcohol was banned in the United States and where patrons were advised to “speak softly” or “speak easy” to avoid detection by law enforcement officers.
To access the Last Call – Speakeasy Bar, located on the first floor of the Bleu d’Orange Pavilion, one has to go through a back wall behind a laundromat created for the occasion. An access code is required by a laundry attendant to be able to enter the bar.
The retro-style bar-lined brick walls and dim lighting evokes New York or Chicago in the 1920s. A casino corner with poker tables and black jack invites play, while numbered vintage telephones assigned to each table encourage intimate conversations. The cocktail menu of Champagne, gin, whiskey and rum, is signed by famous London and Milan bartenders. Onstage perform suave jazz singers, saxophonists and DJs, inviting customers to “swing” to Charleston music.
For those who’ve always wanted to play Al Capone, or Greta Garbo, Four Seasons Resort Marrakech invites delving into the world of the Roaring Twenties, where guests will will succumb to the phenomenon of speakeasy.
Open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am; access code will be provided each week on the Facebook page of the Last Call Speakeasy bar.
